I worked with Elexiss Elle to create a video intro for her videos which she airs from her YouTube channel. From the start of the project, I wanted to make sure Elexiss was comfortable with my process and the direction I was going with the intro. Before designing any graphics or incorporating any type of digital art, I story-boarded the video. Based on the information she filled out in the questionnaire, I illustrated what I thought would work best. After her approval, I went to work incorporating illustrations, some really fun animation effects, with wild colors, 3D text with detailed texture, and a funky hip-hop beat. There were shortcuts with the program that I was unaware of. After doing some research, I found some very resourceful information about speeding up the rendering process by using some of the default settings that After Effects provides. This also allowed me to shrink the file substantially without losing much of the quality.
I was so used to rendering files for hours and then re-rendering to compress the files.
