as an 8 year old boy, my greatest joy was drawing. I felt like there was nothing more fun than being able to express my imagination on paper.
I dove into abstract concepts – taking ideas like love and joy, and doing my best to illustrate them so the ideas were felt, not just seen. An undeniable creative, I grew more experienced with art and design, winning contests that allowed my work to be displayed in Airports, Convention Centers, and Churches statewide. I thought I would end up working in fine arts, and eventually graduated from The Art Institute of Charlotte. I quickly learned Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel, and other design software that have become essential parts of my process. With a new perspective on engaging the world using new media, I was able to apply skill and knowledge in internships at End to End Communications and The Salvation Army.
In addition to my familiarity with Adobe design software, my degree in Multimedia & Web Design helped expand what i thought possible by giving me access to coding software like Dreamweaver. The Dreamweaver interface served as a sort of doorway to later learn HTML, CSS, PHP, and WordPress. My business Minkah Design, quickly established a name for itself among small business owners in a number of different industries, musicians, models, and more.
Today you can find me working hand in hand with clients from around the world and across all types of industries to create imaginative branding experiences that help to support the values of my clients. I’m grateful to make a living doing what I am passionate about, and that joy is evident in the results.
